GALVANIZING PLANTS
Applying Goldseal inside hot, highly-corrosive plants — even if they have limited ventilation — significantly increases the lifespan and quality of your steel.
Galvanizing plants use a variety of cleaning and pretreatment baths to prepare steel including hot molten galvanizing baths which give off clouds of acidic steam upon dipping. Goldseal IHS is a solid yet very flexible compound that is applied hot with no catalysts or solvents to form a high-build barrier coating upon contact with steel.
With 30+ years of experience in galvanizing plants across Australia and New Zealand, Goldseal IHS is recognized as one of the very few appropriate coatings for this environment.
What is Goldseal Industrial Hot Spray?
Goldseal IHS is not a mainstream maintenance paint. It’s an all-in-one solution that kills, passivates and prevents rust. Formulated and fine-tuned through years of collaboration with industrial plant owners, its compound structure delivers a high-solids coating that will stay flexible throughout its service life.
Accepted industry wide, it has the ability to transform the longevity of steel found in ultra-aggressive chemical environments where fumes and fluids are produced and can often get under a steel coating to blow it out at its weakest points.
In short: don’t use standard maintenance paints in highly-corrosive environments. They may look good, but they won’t stand the test of time.
“The product is a life saver in the harsh conditions of our industry and we value the work that Goldseal, Zac and his team do for us. Great company to deal with!”
Perry Metal Protection, Galvanizing Plant, Hamilton New Zealand
The first coat of Goldseal was applied to raw steel during the construction process. 15 years on, with exposure to heavy vibration and movement, it is showing no significant signs of corrosion.
Applying Goldseal IHS to non-sandblasted, rusty steel will:
Wet the steel structure
Displace moisture and oxygen
Penetrate into rust found behind flanges and bolt connections
Our recoating advice
For maximum steel longevity and the prevention of steel loss, we recommend recoating approximately every 15 - 20 years. Recoating only requires a pressure wash and minor corrosion rectification that is completed by our team, meaning fast, cost effective shut down periods.
Goldseal IHS can be applied up to several hundred microns in one application without losing adhesion. Fumes and fluids will not get between the coating and the steel. 15 years of protection between coats will keep steel safe from replacement or blasting.
INDUSTRIAL HOT SPRAY
An anti corrosive oil-based barrier coating, designed to soak into your steel and protect against all external elements.
COLD SPRAY
A light, cold solution designed to be applied by your own maintenance teams.
10 YEAR GOLDSEAL GUARANTEE
Minimum guarantee of corrosion protection when our in-house team applies IHS to your steel.
